After sneaking out of South Africa with a 0-0 draw African Stars are hoping to get the job done on home soil when they host Orlando Pirates in the return leg of their CAF Champions League first round, at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Saturday. Speaking at a press conference in Windhoek on Monday - African Stars coach Bobby Samaria paid credit to his defence who held together admirably to keep out Pirates strikers from scoring. On how he is planning to contain Pirates in the second leg Samaria was not open to reveal his strategy in advance. “I cannot reveal my tactics for Saturday. I’d rather keep it close to my chest for now” Samaria said. African Stars captain Stigga Ketjijere wants his team's sea of supporters to make their presence felt on Saturday and play the 12th player's role if they are to send the mighty Pirates packing. “Come in big numbers, come fill the stadium as a way of lifting us up in search of glory” Ketjijere said. African Stars by the words of its Chairman Patrick Kauta announced that MTC through the NPL has availed 400-thousand Namibia dollars towards the team in search of an advantage on home soil. “If we beat Pirates, African will become the first team to be professional and to reach the knock-out stage “Kauta said. African Stars will look for any trick in the book to win the match, knowing that the road ahead in the competition will be extremely lucrative.
