Keetmanshoop- Bernie Fest won the 2018 Richelieu Darts Competition that took place at Keetmanshoop in the //Kharas region recently. The competition attracted darts players from the //Kharas region, while players from the Oshana Region also took part. For Fest, who played second fiddle to Gavin Van den Hoven during the same tournament last year, a win was just what he was aiming for. “Darts is one of those games that you can play with the whole family, but you can play it alone also. It's always better to have some competition” Fest said. In the lady's singles category, the 2017 winner, Annelize Van Brakel, was victorious yet again, winning against Dianne Ludwig and Lovisa Mutumbulwa. Tournament Director Susan Blaauw encouraged more women to take part in the sport code. “This tournament is now in its 8th year, and I can say that the event of 2018 was one of the best tournaments we ever had, it was really a huge success” Blaauw said. Overall, the competition attracted 44 darts players.
