African Stars Coach Mohammed Gargo says he is very confident that his team will proceeded to the next round of the CAF Champions League competition after beating Kampala Capital City Authority by three goals to two at the Sam Nujoma Stadium. African Stars were without their two new signings from Volcan Club De Moroni as they did not register in time to take part in this game. Kampala Capital City Authority were handed the first goal when African Stars and Brave Warriors defender Ivan Kamberirpa first misjudged the high of the ball, before he kicked it in to his own net. 20 minutes later African Stars were then awarded a penalty, after KCCA's defender handled the ball in the box. Abrosius Omseb made sure that Stars were levelled at the break. The home side came back a better team in the second half and Ibroihim Youssouf gave them the lead with 15 minutes of the game left. African Stars newly signed goalkeeper Mbemutjiua Mata from Young African made a big blunder and KCCA striker Patrick Kaddu punished the rookie stopper. Just when everyone though the game was going to end in a draw, Youssouf who gave a man of the match performance scored his brace and Stars' third. In the end African Stars narrowly won by three goals to two, not the ideal scoreline to take to Kampala but Coach Mohamed Gargo is confident his team will proceed. On his part KCCA Coach Mike Mutebi was very disappointed with the goals they conceded, but said his team is in a good place to overturn the scoreline at home. The two teams will meet again next weekend in Kampala Uganda.
