Windhoek- Soccer Pitch legal analyst Yarukeekuro Ndorokaze said it won't be good for Namibia Premier League football if Tigers are not punished for putting the game into disrepute. Ndorokaze made the remark during the weekly Soccer Pitch show on Thursday. Defending Champions Tigers failed to honour their opening two matches of the NPL season, a move that has put them in trouble with the league's authorities. The NPL executive committee handed the case of misconduct to the league prosecutor, who withdrew it five months later. Namibia Premier League Chairperson Patrick Kauta announced earlier in March that Tigers forfeited points as a result of their failure to pitch up. According to legal analyst Jarukeekuro Ndorokaze, the case of miscount still needs to be dealt with accordingly as the decision of only forfeiting the points is not enough. "If you were Chiefs Santos or Young Chiefs and you are going to play BA and Stars You knows that if you don't turn up what you are going to lose is only the points which you might not get even if you show up, you would want to stay. I think tigers matter is far from being resolve unless NPL does not have a case" Ndorokaze said. FIFA Instructor Mathew Haikali, who was also a guest on the show, said it's not clear to the clubs involved why the NPL prosecutor withdrew the case. "I understand that the clubs were not given reasons as to why the NPL prosecutor withdrew the charges they were only told about the points being forfeited" Haikali added. Another panelist on the show, Namibia Press Agency Sport reporter Marco Ndlovu told Soccer Pitch that he cannot understand why it took the NPL so long to take a decision on the matter in the first place. "They should have taken the administration decision long time ago within 21 days as their constitution is saying rather than handing every think to the prosecutor”Ndlovu said. Kauta declined to comment further on the matter.
