Brave Gladiators vice-captain Stacey Naris is still recovering at home after falling victim to an alleged failed hijacking last year in Windhoek. A nasty injury from the attack has left the 27-year-old defender unable to move freely at the moment. Naris said the injuries have forced her to stay at home, which means that she will missed most if not all of the Skorpion Zinc Women's Super League that is set to kick off soon. ”I really want to go back and play Football, but I am forcing matters. My doctor advised me not to be involved in Football until I am fully recovered, I can still feel pain in my feet” she said. Women football returns next month when the second leg of the Skorpion Zinc women's super league kicks off in Gobabis on 9th March. Gobabis will play host to all top clubs from Khomas and Erongo as well as the Omaheke outfit, Omaheke Queens. In the fixtures provided by the NFA Women's Desk, Namib Daughters from the coast will take on Girls Football Academy at 09h00 at the Legare Stadium, followed by Right Way Football Club (FC) clashing with University of Namibia (Unam) Bokkies at 10h30. The home team, Omaheke Queens, will battle Galz Goals FC at 12h30, while the Namibia University of Science and Technology Babes will face Tura Magic Ladies at 13h30. The last match will feature Khomas Namibian Police (NamPol) and VPower Angels in a clash of the second and third-placed teams. Tura Magic lead the log with 25 points, followed by Khomas NamPol in second with 23 points. A total of 207 goals were scored in the first round, with Tura Magic scoring the most goals (54). Girls Football Academy have scored the least, with a mere seven goals to their name.
