African Stars are ready to take on Comoros Island's Volcano de Moroni in the second leg of the CAF Championship in Windhoek Wednesday evening. The stage is set for African Stars to begin their hunt for CAF Champions League glory with a return match against Volcano de Moroni at the Sam Nujoma Stadium. They previously drew the first leg match 0-0 on the Comoros Islands last week. The MTC Premiership Champions are hoping to get a victory in order for them to advance and face South Africa's Orlando Pirates, after the Buccaneers came from behind to thrash Light Stars of the Seychelles 5-1 in their first leg match in Soweto last week. The winner of the first round encounter will then progress to the lucrative group stages of the competition, where 16 teams will compete in four groups of four teams. Meanwhile, Volcano de Moroni arrived in Windhoek yesterday from the Comoros. The top two teams will progress to the quarterfinal knockout stages, while the bottom two teams, although being eliminated, will receive US$550 000 each. The losing quarter finalists will receive US$650 000 each and the losing semi-finalists, US$800 000 each. The champions will receive US$2.5 million and the runners-up US$1.5 million. The match is expected to kick off at 19h00 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium and NBC 1 will broadcast the match live on television.
