In the featherweight division, Natanael Kalolo of Salute Boxing Academy scooped the ABU title after winning against Toto Helebe from South Africa on points. With only 3 fights to his name, Lazarus Shaningwa of Salute then won the vacant super featherweight national title after defeating David Shanuna on points. Meanwhile Peter Pambeni from Zimbabwe recorded victory against Albinius Felesiano of Namibia in the main bout to be crowned as the WBO Africa Lightweight Champion.
