In Tsumeb, around 1 000 rusty old firearms were discovered when Telecom Namibia dug up cables in a trench at the sports field of Tsumeb Gymnasium, just behind the golf course. According to a resident of Tsumeb, the old, rusted firearms were unearthed, including double-barreled shotguns, revolvers and a sword. The weapons are believed to date from the First World War era. The firearms found will be handled by the Namibian Police.
