Geingos condemns escalating brutality in Namibia

First Lady Monica Geingos has expressed dismay over the outrageous death of Megameno Kamwangha and the escalating social sadism in Namibia. The Namibian First Lady expressed distress and condemnation at what was described by many as "a senseless killing" of a young boy who had taken an active role in defending a woman. She said it is high time the country looks at the root cause if the antisocial is to be mitigated. Geingos called on all citizens to reject violence by engaging Positive Behaviour Support strategies to influence behavioural change. Geingos said this during the signing of a mutual partnership agreement between her office and the Namibian Correctional Service in relation to combating gender violence, rehabilitation and reintegration of prisoners into society. Megameno Kamwangha who was stubbed to death in Wanaheda was buried on Saturday at Onamutayi village in the Ongwediva constituency.
