Gender Ministry urged to help Swakopmund Municipality identify children with disabilities

Swakopmund Mayor Louisa Kativa has urged the Ministry of Gender to help the municipality identify children with disabilities who require assistance. Kativa says her office needs statistics to facilitate sponsorships for such children more easily. The Swakopmund Municipality donated wheelchairs to two seven-year-olds, living with disabilities in the coastal town. The sponsorship, facilitated through the Rotary Club, was done to assist the mothers of the beneficiaries, who are struggling to make ends meet.
