Residents of Impalila Island say they are disappointed by the government for having signed a border treaty with Botswana without the consent of the people of the Zambezi Region. They say the treaty has resulted in the surrender of border areas to Botswana, who now live in fear because of harassment, intimidation and threats by the Botswana Defence Forces.
