The SWAPO party has retained the Ndonga Linena Constituency of the Kavango East after the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) announced Michael Kampota as the winner in the court-ordered recount of the 2020 vote. On 13 September, the Electoral Court nullified the swearing-in of SWAPO's candidate Michael Kampota and ordered a recount of the votes cast in the elections after the APP flagged irregularities with the counting process. During the recount, held in Windhoek today, only 20 spoilt ballots were found instead of the 57 initially registered during the counting of votes during the 2020 elections.
