Namibian visual artist hands over an exquisite painting to WHO

A Namibian visual artist handed over an exquisite painting to the World Health Organisation (WHO). Hage Mukwendje worked on the painting during a live presentation at the Lead Innovation Challenge Grand Finale. The painting of a young girl from Katutura wearing a leaf as a mask illustrates the times we are living in of COVID-19. Mukwendje was on a European exhibition tour when he was invited to do the live art piece in less than twenty minutes to an audience that included the WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus and created a product that left many in awe.
