NAMWATER satisfied with water inflows into southern Namibia catchment areas

Namibia's water utility has expressed deep satisfaction with rain inflows into all catchment areas in the southern parts of the country. NAMWATER manager of hydrology, Andre Mostert tells nbc-news that all major dams in the area are full to capacity, and this has prompted the release of excess water, specifically at the Hardap and Naute dams. The sluices of the Hardap Dam were opened on five occasions on Friday to bring its level to 72%, while the Naute Dam is full beyond capacity, at 107%, according to official records.
