President Hage Geingob says Namibia looks forward to working with the new Tanzanian President, Samia Suluhu Hassan to consolidate bilateral relations between the two countries. Geingob said this as he congratulated Hassan shortly after she was sworn in as Tanzania's sixth head of state following the death of John Pombe Magufuli. Suluhu Hassan also made history as the first female leader to assume the highest office in the East African state. President Geingob, in a letter to the Tanzanian leader, expressed confidence in her leading the country and its people.
