Two suspects in armed robbery of a Chinese national arrested

The Namibian Police's intelligence-driven investigations have resulted in the arrest of two men who are suspected to have carried out a robbery under aggravating circumstances on a Chinese national at gunpoint earlier this week. The two suspects, aged 32 and 30, were travelling with an Intercape bus to the northern parts of Namibia and were found with a pistol and ammunition without a license, additionally, cash in the amount of N$2 000 and U$200 were found. The two were arrested at the Oshivelo checkpoint around 03h10 in the morning hours of Friday and a case was opened under the Arms and Ammunitions act. A Chinese businessman was robbed of N$1,1 million at gunpoint at his home in Windhoek's Hochland Park by six men on Wednesday morning.
