UKRAINE REPATRIATION | Six Namibians are still stuck in Ukraine

Six Namibians are still stuck in Ukraine. This was confirmed by MIRCO Executive Director, Penda Naanda. Of the 89 Namibians who were in Ukraine at the time of conflict, 32 have arrived in the country, with 19 more expected to land today. Naanda says some Namibians have opted to remain in Europe and will do so at their own cost, as the government is only responsible for those who want to be repatriated. He also commended the Austria, Germany and Russia high Commissioners for facilitating the process, through accommodation and acquiring visas for the Namibian nationals.
