Well known business tycoon John 'Akapandi' Endjala dies

John and Penny (J) company founder and renowned businessman John Endjala has died in a Windhoek hospital after a long illness. He has died at the age of 58. His brother, Okapya Headman Timotheus Endjala, has confirmed his death to NBC News. He says the family has lost a leader and helper that family members went to for everything they needed and for guidance in everything they set out to do. Endjala was the Executive Chairman and co-owner of the Johnny and Penny's Group of companies, which traded in the real estate, hospitality, food, and school supply niches. He was former President of the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) and contributed immensely to the development and mentorship of young entrepreneurs. Also known as Akapandi, Endjala used his life experience to highlight key points entrepreneurs needed to pay attention to in order to succeed. He said drive, the ability to identify opportunities, and employing the right people for the job had helped him succeed in business. The businessman born in Oshatayi Church at Okapya is survived by his wife, Penny Endjala, siblings and seven children.
