AFRICAN STARS DOMINATE GAME AGAINST COMOROS

African Stars coach Robert Nauseb said his team dominated most parts of the game in Comoros against Volcan Club De Moroni last week Tuesday. Nauseb expressed this at a media briefing that was aimed at reflecting on Stars' trip to Comoros in the CAF Champions league preliminary game. African Stars held Volcan Club De Moroni to a goalless draw in Comoros' capital city Moroni in the first leg of the CAF Champions league. Nauseb explained that he was very happy with the way they were received and treated in that part of the world. According to the African Stars coach, the islanders started the game well and only dominated for the first 20 minutes - from there his team was in charge. “They played a 4-4-2 formation then they changed it to a 5-3-1 in the end as they started to defend for almost 70 minutes of the game. We should have killed the game off but we were not scoring” said Nauseb African Stars now need to win their home game with to make it to the next round of the qualifiers. The difficulties with that is, however, that African Stars are struggling to find the back of the net as they scored only one goal in three games they played in the competition. Captain Ronald Ketjijere said that the team was working very hard to try and score not only against the team from Comoros but also against Okahandja United, adding that they would do so even if they have to work on scoring during the whole training session. Nauseb also confirmed that Panduleni Nekundi who has been struggling with a groin injury is three weeks away from returning to normal training. On his part African Stars captain Ronald Ketjijere told the media that he used his experience to guard his team mates. African Stars will play Volcan Club De Moroni in the return leg of the CAF Champions league next week Wednesday on the 5th of December.
