The Audim Dream team from Boland in South Africa claimed the first-ever title in the FNB Windhoek Sevens Tournament over the weekend. The first-ever FNB Windhoek Sevens Tournament took place at the Hage Geingob Stadium - kicking off on Friday evening and concluding on Saturday evening. The tournament featured three categories, namely First League, Premier League and for the first time in over 3 years there was a women's category included in the festivities as well. In the First League it was down to Rehoboth 2 and their hometown rivals St Lou to battle it out for the cup. St Lou eventually walked away victoriously, beating Rehoboth 26 - 10 and clinching a 5000 Namibia Dollars cash prize. In the women's category the UNAM Ladies made it three for three after making it to the final unbeaten and beating Rehoboth 12 - 7 to walk away with 2000 Namibia Dollars cash. In the much anticipated Premier League final it was down to Host Western Suburbs and the Audim Dream team to tackle it out. In the end however it was the South Africans with a final score of 24 -7, walking away victoriously with top honours and a cash prize of 10,000 Namibia Dollars.
