Brave Warriors to go against Comoros in CHAN qualifiers

The Brave Warriors have been drawn against Comoros Island in the African Nations Championships qualifiers. This continental competition - also known as CHAN - will be hosted by Ethiopia. The African Nations Championship is a biennial football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football, exclusively featuring players that play in their domestic leagues. The Brave Warriors also played in that competition last year, and lost to hosts Morroco in the quarter finals. The draw for the new edition will now see the Brave Warriors taking on Comoros Island in the qualifiers. Brave Warriors Coach Ricardo Mannetti welcomed the draw saying it's a positive one to his squad. " It's not an easy one, but it's a positive draw. We now know how they play unlike the first time we meet them. We are aware of their weather conditions and definitely will be ready to face them there and back here" Mannetti said. The first leg will be away in Moroni with the second leg set for Windhoek. The winner will take on the winner of Madagascar versus Mozambique in the third and final round of the qualifiers. Forty-seven teams are engaged in the battle for 15 places to join hosts Ethiopia for the final tournament of the sixth edition.
