I am ready to win another IBO world title- Ambunda

Windhoek-Local boxer Paulus "The Rock" Ambunda is working hard in the gym, preparing for the IBO Super Bantamweight title bout against Muhammad Ridhwan of Singapore. The fight is set to take place later this month. The 38-year-old Paulus Ambunda says his camp has been working tirelessly to prepare him for another world title. Ambunda has a date with Muhammad Ridhwan of Singapore in the capital city of that country. Word among boxing experts is that the Singaporean, who is now 30 years old, has vowed to beat Ambunda into retirement. According to Ridwan, Ambunda's time has come and gone. However, Ambunda who is still the World Boxing Council International Silver Super Bantamweight Champion, has a totally different take on the matter. “We are ready for this fight. My team has prepared me well. He is just doing the talking, but it will be me and him in the ring. So let's see how the fight will go, but he must know that I am coming for the title” Ambunda said. As it stands, Ambunda has recorded 26 wins, with only 2 losses, while Ridwan has a clean record of winning all his 11 fights. Ambunda's trainer Imms Paulus is confident that the Namibian will bring back the IBO Super Bantamweight title to the land of the Brave.
