Jonas wins Commonwealth Games Gold

Gold Coast- Namibian boxer Jonas Junias Jonas made history when he defeated Thomas Blumenfeld of Canada 5-0 on points to win the gold medal in the men's 64kg boxing final at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia in the early hours of Saturday. Jonas Junias Jonas, who has been on song in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia was in the thick of action from the onset as he never allowed the Canadian any room at all. Jonas' telling punches were spot on and unavoidable as was seen by the judges, who all in the end ruled the fight 5-0 in his favor in a unanimous points decision. This came after two of the judges scored the fight 30-24 in Jonas' favour, while the other three judges scored it 30-25, 29-26, and 30-23 also in Jonas' way. The achievement by Jonas today was an improvement from the silver medal he scooped at the same competition four years ago in Glasgow, Scotland. The gold medal was the first to be won by Namibia at the Commonwealth Games, which end tomorrow.
