Namibian athletes won four medals at the recently held Abu Dhabi International PRO Jiu-Jitsu championships in Johannesburg, South Africa, where representatives from Angola, Israel and Pakistan also participated. The Namibians surprised everyone with their excellent performance by acquiring 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze medal. Junior Sportsman of the year Delano Müller won a gold medal at the event and thus remains undefeated. He has not lost any international championships thus far during his most recent feat, his fight lasted only 1min 15 seconds. Meanwhile, Jan Gouws' performance was a big surprise as it was his first international competition and he immediately won a well-deserved silver medal. Giano Alcock walked away with a silver medal, and Lesley !Hoaëb won a bronze medal. The competition was tough but reportedly well organised. The next event of this sort will be in Stellenbosch, SA the 29th February .
