The long awaited Annual General Meeting of the Namibia Rugby Union will finally take place this coming Saturday in Windhoek. The 2020 Annual General Meeting of the NRU will elect candidates for key positions at the Union. “All the clubs are urged to come and attend. It is their game, it is our game, the game that we love and it's a game that we would like to move into a semi-professional era. We cannot unfortunately stay with our amateur approach to this game” explains NRU vice president Governance Walter Don. The positions up for grab include the President, Vice president Governance and Vice President Rugby as well as eight other positions for regional representatives. “ We have been at the world stage for six consecutive world cups and I think we need to up our game now, in terms of leadership management and the way forward in order to secure and compete and a much higher level on the world stage” he added. The AGM will take place at Windhoek's Safari Hotel starting at 09h00 in the morning on Saturday.
