By Christel Kotze Namibia won the 2016 edition of the Africa Cup after beating Zimbabwe 60-22 in a thrilling match over the weekend. The teams both had a rather slow start, but the ice was soon broken when Namibia's Fullback Johan Tromp scored the first converted try of the match after the ball went wide to the back-line. The Namibian side did not stop there and added another three tries to their telly, with the conversions coming from vice-captain Theuns Kotze. Zimbabwe's fly-half Lenience Tambwera managed to register points for his team when he converted a penalty kick, ending the first half Namibia 29 Zimbabwe 3 The second half started with a penalty try, given to the Namibian side and JC Geyling and Gino Wilison each producing a try of their own. Thereafter, Zimbabwe's Biselele Tshamala And Stephan Hunduza also provided their team with some hope by scoring tries as well. With a few fresh legs on the pitch, Namibia scored another try through replacement Torsten Van Jaarsveld. Zimbabwe managed one last try, adding another 7 points with 15 minutes to go. However, with the crowd behind the Namibian side, Justin Nell found the try-line one last time as the final hooter sounded.
