Namibian boxers triumph

Namibian boxers put up a good display as they defeated their South African and Tanzanian opponents during the Salute Boxing Academy's year-end boxing bonanza held at swakopmund lastnight. Albinus Danny Boy Felesianu defeated Rusten Kahira of Malawi via a 2nd round KO. Vakufilapo The CowBoy Nashivela defeated George Mndluli of SA in the WBF Super Welterweight African title. 36 seconds of 1st round TKO. Paulis El Jesus Ambunda became the first Namibian boxer to fight for and capture the WBC International Super Bantam weight division by beating Nassibu Ramadhan of Tanzania after 12 rounds of exciting fight. Speaking to NBC Sport afterwards Chairman of Salute Boxing Academy Kriat Kamanya described the event as the best attendant boxing bonanza in the history of local boxing. He also applauded the Dome Management and Kalakoda Boxing Promotions for a well arranged event.
