The Namibia Football Executive Committee decided to instruct their lawyers to demand the money owed to them by the Namibia Premier League after several unsuccessful attempts in court following their executive meeting over the weekend. The Namibia Premier League has failed in both the High Court and the Supreme Court to get what is considered to be a procedural suspension upheld. The unsuccessful attempts came with legal costs that the league now owes the mother body. The new NFA EXCO has decided that the suspended member should finally pay up. “We have decided to text our lawyers so they can get the money owed to us with immediate effect” Haikali said. According to Haikali, the money owed to the Association by the NPL amounts to 780 thousand Namibia Dollars. Concerning their suspended NPL members, the meeting vowed to let the Court of Arbitration for Sport conclude before they can decide on the future of their members. “We can assure the nation that our lawyers are doing a great job in that regard. We will let the process take its course” he added. On the Young African versus NPL matter, the football bosses want that case to be concluded in the next month before the anticipated countrywide playerss registration process that starts in July this year.
