Namibia National Olympic Committee Secretary-General Joan Smith says the Olympic Day - which will be commemorated later this month - is of great importance to the committee and the world. The day was created to mark the importance of sports in people's lives and to promote participation across the world, irrespective of age, gender, or religion. It will be celebrated on the 23rd of June under the theme "Together for a Peaceful World: #Move for peace.
