The Namibia Schools Sport Union in an effort to strengthen sport in schools plans to host a professional sport education training in all of the country's regions later this year. The Namibia Schools Sport Union has the mandate to develop sports at grassroots level. It is against this background that NSSU in collaboration with the two line ministries, the Namibia Sports Commission and NamScore will be hosting regional Professional Sport Education training. This was said by Solly Duiker, NSSU's National Coordinator. “NSSU developed the handbook called Sport for Development, which Duiker indicated that it will be one of the modules during the training” Duiker said. While the training is scheduled to start in early September, the union and all stakeholders are currently engaged in information-sharing sessions in all regions.
