By David Lyimo Four chess players from Otjiwarongo have qualified for the national chess team that is set to participate in this year’s African Youth Championships next month in South Africa. The four chess players that qualified are Joshua Negumbo, Taisha Uris, Himumuine Kamazembua and Uvanga Vatiraije. The coach of the national team, Ichnecuis Kavitjene was confident about his players and told Nampa that his players are mentally prepared to participate in the African championship. This year’s African Youth Championships will take place in Port Elizabeth from the 20th to the 29th of August.
