The 6th edition of the Navachab Half Marathon took place on Saturday, with more than 500 participants from 14 regions entering the event with the hopes of getting their rankings, silverware and prize money on the newly measured 21km race as well as the 5km fun run and walk. Namibian Correctional Service’s Rainhold Tomas, who competed in the 21km Men's Senior category, won 1st place in a time of 1hour, 6minutes and seconds, while NAMPOL’s Lavinia Haitope also raced in the 21km Women's Senior Navachab Half Marathon and managed a time of 1hour, 16minutes and 55seconds, with each walking away with N$ 7000, trophies and medals, making the two runners overall winners of this year's 6th Edition of the Annual Navachab Half Marathon.
