During the weekend of 9-10 November, the Windhoek Field Archery Club hosted the annual Khomas End of Year field archery shoot on the range at Heja Lodge just outside of Windhoek. With extremely warm weather, archers preformed their best and records were crushed by Bea Viviers, JP Viljoen and Dirk de Bod Jnr. Winners emerged as follows: Adult Female Freestyle Unlimited: 1st place: Bea Viviers 491 for Field round and 513 for Hunter Round (new Namibian record) Adult Male Freestyle Unlimited: 1st place: Jannie Meuwesen 544 for Field round, 548 for Hunter Round 2nd place: Piet Zondagh 531 for Field Round, 522 for Hunter round 3rd place: Louan Groenewald 538 for Field round 4th place: Hermias Rossouw 515 for Field round Young Adult Male Freestyle Unlimited: 1st place: Dirk de Bod Junior 525 for Field round, 523 for Hunter Round (both new Namibian Records) 2nd place: AJ Groenewald 510 for Field round, 487 for Hunter round Young Adult Male Bow Hunter Unlimited: 1st place: JP Viljoen 497 for Field round, 508 for Hunter round (new Namibian record) Junior Bow Hunter Unlimited: 1st place: Danie Delport 503 for Field round, 513 for Hunter round 2nd place: Jaco Becker 460 for Field round, 476 for Hunter round 3rd place: Cobus Barnard 428 for Field round, 430 for Hunter round
