Newly appointed Minister of Sports, Youth and National Service Agnes Tjongarero is urging athletes not to put a halt to their training rosters in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. She however cautions that dynamics in that sense would have to be altered. Minister Agnes Tjongarero believes athletes should continue with their routine training session for the time being as long they do it in isolation and not in groups. "To the athletes whatever sports you are doing, don't stop training. You don't want to be caught off guard when everything comes to normal. Keep fit and keep safe " Tjongarero said. Tjongarero, who was promoted to the level of a Minister after serving as a deputy in the same portfolio, is thankful of the President for the trust bestowed on her. "I can just say to the President, thank you for the trust bestowed on me. It will be joined effort from me and the team. We will do our utmost best to deliver" Tjongarero said. Tjongarero was a netball player and popular administrator before becoming the President of the Namibia National Olympic Committee in 1997.
