Tura Magic Coach Eichab prioritises fighting COVID-19

Tura Magic Coach Fortune Eichab said he is more concerned about the health of the Nation than football at this point in time as he is at the forefront of fighting COVID-19. Apart from being a coach, Eichab is a full-time Constable in the Namibian Police. Fortune Eichab made a name as a rookie coach during the 2018/19 football season after he helped Tura Magic to a third position finish on the Namibia Premier League table. He took over the Tura Magic coaching job from Ghanaian Mohammed Gargo after he was brought in as an understudy from Khomas NAMPOL. Despite that accomplishment, Eichab is not worried about coaching again at this stage. He now wakes up every morning, looking forward to do his part in the fight against the deadly coronavirus as the health of the nation is more important to him than anything else right now. As a police officer, he is at the forefront of the pandemic as he is expected to enforce the new regulations upon the public. “Football is not the priority right now. We must do the right thing today so we can have the right result tomorrow. If we want to play Football in the future we must behave today” Eichab said. As a football coach on the other hand, Eichab is expected to encourage and cheer on players when they are feeling down during a match. Eichab tries to use his coaching experience to motivate players as well as other citizens during this difficult period. “If you are down, it does not mean you are out. Don't think about Corona today, think about tomorrow. Let's get up follow the guidelines and get out of the streets and remain at your houses “ he added. Eichab has not won any silverware as a top-flight coach, but he hopes to win the fight against COVID 19 as a police officer.
