The body of a man was found lying in a pool of blood on the Sangwali-Kongola road near Mambali Village in the Zambezi Region this morning.
Police in the Zambezi Region are suspecting a hit-and-run incident.
The deceased has been identified as 41-year-old Tobert Nyama from Nongozi Village.
NamPol's Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator, Deputy Commissioner Kenneth Simbwae, told nbc News that an inquest docket has been opened for investigation.
It is suspected that Myama might have been run over by a vehicle after his body was dumped on the road, and therefore, foul play is suspected.
Deputy Commissioner Simbwae has appealed to the driver who might have been involved in the accident to report himself to the police to avoid facing multiple charges.
Simbwae has also called on the public to assist the police in identifying the vehicles involved in accidents recently.
Families missing a loved one are also encouraged to contact the police for the identification of a person whose bodies were found last week at Katima Mulilo's Macaravan East and at Liselo last Sunday.
