A 13-year-old minor is pregnant after allegedly being raped by her father.

The incident occurred in December at the Owambo location in Grootforntein.

It is alleged that the suspect (44), who is the biological father of the victim, raped the victim three times on different days, and in the process, the victim became pregnant.

According to the Namibian Police, the suspect also allegedly threatened to kill the victim with a knife if she told anyone.

The girl is a Grade 8 learner in the Grootfontein district.

The suspect has been arrested and faces charges of rape, incest, and assault through threatening.

Meanwhile, a pensioner (63) has been arrested after he allegedly raped a 13-year-old minor in the Kavango West Region.

It is alleged that the suspect dragged the victim into the bush while she was eating wild berries and raped her.
