The birth of twin girls in January of this year has brought immense joy to a couple from Keetmanshoop.
However, what they initially believed to be a double bundle of joy has quickly turned into a nightmare.
Johannes Coetzee, the 62-year-old father of the twin girls, spoke to nbc News and shared that they are facing financial struggles in providing for the baby formula and diapers for their six-month-old girls.
He mentioned that it costs him around N$200 per week to feed his twins.
Coetzee explained that the twin girls were given infant formula because they were born two months premature.
In light of this situation, Coetzee made a heartfelt appeal to the community, urging them to come together and provide support in raising his babies.
"In January, God blessed me with twin girls. With the social grant I am receiving monthly, I am trying hard to put food on the table for my family. At times I help out as a taxi driver to supplement my income. There is no way I could afford to raise my social grant; therefore, I beg for public assistance to help me."
