Young people will once again be presented with an opportunity to explore the latest information and communication technology trends and present their latest innovations and inventions within the ICT space at this year's 7th National ICT Summit.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) is thus calling on stakeholders to take part in the Summit.

The National ICT Summit will create a platform for stakeholders to discuss trends and challenges facing the industry locally and globally.

Issues hampering the ICT sector in Namibia include a lack of infrastructure, especially in rural areas, limited access to the internet, and expensive telecommunication networks.

Young people will be exposed to the latest ICT trends and share innovative ideas, while ICT roleplayers will showcase their solutions to challenges within the ICT space.

The ICT Ministry has been at the forefront of exploring digital transformation opportunities for efficient online services.

This year's theme will centre around cybersecurity investment.

The ICT Ministry held a sponsorship breakfast meeting to share information with stakeholders on the significance of the summit.

Over N$500,000 has been pledged so far towards the event.
