Some young men from Rundu had the opportunity to talk about issues surrounding healthy masculinity.

According to Care Unit, a private social worker's office in Rundu, there is an increase in harmful behaviour amongst local men, such as risky sexual behaviour, suicide, low productivity in school and workplaces, and risky driving practises.

Experts say there is a need for platforms to address how to practise healthy masculinity.

Various speakers shared advice on how men can resolve issues in a civilised manner without resorting to violence.

The men were also made aware of the dangers they pose to society, particularly when it comes to crime within their own communities.

They were also educated on how to form healthy romantic relationships by focusing on their own growth while avoiding promiscuity.

The organisers say the idea is to have more of these talks with men throughout the country.
