The International University of Management (IUM) has appointed Professor Osmund Mwandemele as its Vice Chancellor.
Professor Mwandemele holds a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Plant Breeding.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Agricultural Genetics and Plant Breeding.
He has a wealth of experience, which he accumulated over the years while working at various universities, including the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, Egerton University in Kenya, the University of Kwa Zulu Natal in South Africa, and the University of Namibia, where he served as the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
Currently, Mwandemele is serving on the Ashinaga Kenjin-Tatsujin International Advisory Council and is a member of the Board of the Joint South African Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Research Foundation, among others.
The University's founder and council chair, Professor David Namwandi, said that it is their conviction that Professor Mwandemele, a renowned scholar, will elevate IUM to the highest level.
