The City of Windhoek (CoW) has implemented an average electricity tariff increase of 8.9%, effective August 1st.

The increase comes after bulk electricity supplier NamPower pushed up its electricity tariff from N$1.82 to N$2.12 per kilowatt for the 2023–2024 financial year.

This is an average increase of 8.97%.

The City of Windhoek's increase last year was 7.8%.
