The Chris Number 1 Fitness and Boxing Academy from Okakarara hosted a boxing bonanza at the just-ended Okakarara Trade Fair. 

Two boxing academies took part in the bonanza, namely the Ombili Boxing Club from Otjiwarongo and the Chris Boxing Academy.
 

Spectators were in for a treat from the moment the boxers stepped into the ring. 

The bonanza kicked off with an amateur encounter, which kept the spectators on the edge of their seats as the boxers exchanged blows. 

The Chris Boxing and Fitness Academy dominated the event with most of the fights ending in technical knockouts.
 
''This is a great achievement and you see, we have e started last year with this academy and I am very happy to have such achievement fir the first time normally we use to suffer from other clubs and now we dud it fir the first time and I hope, boys are coming now, we are grooming them because we are training very hard.''
 
The main bout of the night was in the 63kg non-title category between Lazarus Tjiuma of Ombili Boxing Club and Zetunua Tjatjitwua of Chris no.1 Boxing and Fitness Academy.
 
Zetunua knocked out his opponent in the first round.
 
 
''This win means a lot for me and I have gained experience as well for me to proceed into my next games. Fir me it was not a challenging match so we did not need a much if a game plan, it was just little touches that we made. The opponent was very easy so I did not have any challenges, I got him down in the first round, it was so easy as it was.''
 
The organizers of the boxing bonanza said they have bigger plans for the boxers in terms of winning both local and international titles in the future. 
 
''We have bigger plans, bigger than this one our aim is to get one day an Olympic medalists, common wealth or African games we are grooming, some of them can become future champions in professional fights.''
 

The Okakarara trade fare, where the bonanza took place, is the second biggest expo in the country and attracts thousands of people, including international exhibitors each year.
