A Namibian football club called VPower Angels FC, which plays in the Women's Super League, has received an invitation to participate in the Durban International Club Tournament,  which is set to take place in December.

Due to a lack of funds, the club may however not be able to attend the tournament.

Vpower Angels FC has been invited to the prestigious International Club Tournament in Durban, South Africa, scheduled to take place in December 2023. The club is however struggling to secure the necessary funds for their participation.

In an interview with VPower Angels FC's head coach, Risto Shikomba, he stated that they will be launching a fundraising campaign to overcome their financial struggles.

They aim to launch dust bin cleaning services for N$50 each, starting at the end of this month.

VPower Angels FC's fundraising campaign takes a hands-on approach as the team members themselves will be responsible for the dust bin cleaning services.

''we are targeting about 1500 dust bins in two months and that would give us round about N$70 000

The fundraising's strategy is targeting a diverse range of locations. ''

''Actually we are targeting flats, companies that need dust bin cleaning services as well as houses''

Shikomba and the team remain optimistic and are actively pursuing support from the government and the private sector. Their determination to obtain sponsorship highlights their commitment to competing in the tournament.
