Preparations for the 7th National ICT Summit were underway this afternoon at the Mercure Hotel in Windhoek.

The three-day summit is expected to kick off tomorrow.

The summit, which is expected to bring together hundreds of ICT experts and institutions, is being held under the theme "Re-thinking cybersecurity investment to secure the digital economy and its opportunities".

The summit will create a platform for the ICT industry to discuss trends and challenges facing the industry.

It will also define the roadmap for development and effective integration of technology, as well as the agenda for growing ICT in an inclusive society.

Topics such as cybercrime statistics, universal access to the internet, cyber security in the banking sector, and rethinking cybersecurity investment to secure the digital economy feature in the programme.
