Miss Namibia Jameela |Uiras has unveiled her national costume for the upcoming Miss Universe pageant slated for November 18 in El Salvador. 

At the event on the outskirts of the capital, |Uiras  paraded the oryx and diamond-inspired costume she will wear in the national dress category at the glitzy international event.

|Uiras explained how she came up with the idea for her costume, which she named the Majestic Diamond Oryx, and sketched.

The dress was designed by creator Mwatile Kapolola and stylist Nadia Wilson. 

Kapolola said it took them two weeks of sweat and hard work to complete the unique design.

He said no real animal parts were used in the creation of the outfit.

Umbi Karuaihe-Upi, who is the Miss Namibia Organisation's CEO, said the outfit is a true reflection of the land of the brave.

Miss Namibia and now Miss Universe hopefull will jet off on Thursday at midday to central America.
