During the launch of the festive season campaign, Omusati Regional Commander Commissioner Ismael Basson could not emphasise more the responsibility of community members to hold the police accountable in the execution of their duties when it comes to ensuring optimal safety.

Commissioner Basson stressed the importance of engagement and proper introduction of members of the force to the public in maintaining ethical behaviour, law, and order.

The Governor of Omusati Region, Erginus Endjala, said the festive season remains a time for family and friends to unite to enjoy the season; however, it is during this time that crimes in the region are on the rise.
