The World Food Programme (WFP) Deputy Country Director in Namibia, Ericah Shafudah, emphasises the organisation's commitment to saving and changing lives through sustainable projects that enhance nutrition and support government food security. 

This commitment was highlighted during the handover of a borehole and nutritional projects at Olukula Clinic in Okongo's Ohangwena Region.

As part of their revised programme, the World Food Programme, in collaboration with stakeholders, donated a borehole and nutritional projects, including garden and poultry projects, to Olukula Clinic on the eastern side of Okongo.

The integrated food system aims to promote health and nutritional habits to alleviate poverty in vulnerable communities.

Shafudah applauded Brazil for sponsoring nutritional horticulture at five sites in Namibia.

WFP calls on the communities to safely guard the projects and ensure that they preserve them.

Receiving the donation, Ohangwena Governor Sebastian Ndeitunga commended the World Food Programme for its continuous support towards the improvement and upliftment of the community's wellbeing.
