More rainfall is expected in the northern and eastern regions of the country.

However, the southern regions continue to be faced with dry and high temperatures.

Heavy storms occurred in the central-northern regions, where most reported more than 50 millimetres of rainfall, with more rain expected in the week.

According to the Namibia Meteorological Service, the northern and eastern regions should expect more rainfall in the coming days.

However, the southern parts of the country, mainly the Hardap and ||Kharas regions, will experience extreme heat with low rainfall.

The weekly dam levels announced by NamPower indicate a high drop in the water levels for dams in the |Khomas and Hardap regions.

If the situation of little or no rain prevails, this could lead to a water crisis in these regions.
