In the wake of President Hage Geingob's passing last Sunday, a wave of condolences has been sweeping in from across the globe. National and international leaders have been extending their heartfelt tributes to the former First Lady Monica Geingos, the Geingo family, and the Namibian nation at large.

This outpouring of sympathy and respect underscores the profound impact President Geingob had both within Namibia and on the international stage, as the world joins in mourning the loss of a distinguished leader.

The Sam Nujoma Foundation issued a statement saying a dark cloud has fallen and hangs heavily across the entire Namibian nation. 

On behalf of the Veterans of the National Liberation Struggle of Namibia and the Nujoma family, Founding President Dr. Sam Nujoma conveyed his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and the entire nation on the death of Dr. Geingob.
  
On behalf of the Mafwe Royal Establishment and the entire Mafwe Community, Chief Litunga George Simasiku Mamili XII extended his deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the former First Lady Monica Geingos and the entire Namibian nation.

Chief Mamili XII described the late Dr. Geingob as a bridge builder, a competent administrator, and an experienced administrator, stating that Geingob was an architect of the Namibian Constitution and was passionate about building one Namibian nation.

Through its Embassy in Namibia, Algeria's President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said he was deeply saddened and affected to learn of the passing of Dr. Geingob.
 
Tebboune stated that the Namibian nation and the entire African continent lost one of its symbols of the struggle who fought against colonial domination and whose sincere principles and firm stance in support of oppressed people, their right to freedom and dignity, and decent living under security and stability.
